HOW

how-go-in.gif

The actions of GO-IN! they are organized by work packages (WP) and are both continuous, for the 24 months (M) of the project, to ensure correct management and dissemination (WP1;WP8_M1-24) and punctual. These are grouped according to three main phases: planning (WP2;WP3_M2-M9), implementation (WP4;WP5_M7-M20) and verification (WP6;WP7_M5-M23). All work phases involve the collaboration of the various research units involved.

WP1_PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION

Coordinator UNIPV

simboli 3.png

WP1 concerns the coordination of the project's actions, the research units and other stakeholders (external consultants, local authorities). The coordinator, together with the unit managers, defines the times and methods of the activities to be carried out and evaluates the financing and reporting aspects. As part of WP1, organizational meetings, social and collective actions also aimed at the community are planned and communication activities with the MUR are conducted.

WP2_DEFINITION OF METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES AND PLANNING OF PROJECT ACTIONS

Coordinator UNIBAS

WP2 involves the definition of an original interdisciplinary and trans-scalar cognitive approach to evaluate the morphological-urban planning, architectural, geological, economic, tourist and social aspects that characterize the historic centers of the internal areas. In this WP the research units investigate: the geomorphological, infrastructural and connective, functional, cooperative, local production and traditional construction systems, evaluating them together with the hydrogeological and seismic risks to define the structure of the three-dimensional GIS model of the center of Stigliano.

WP3_ANALYSIS CENSUS AND DIGITAL DOCUMENTATION OF THE CASE STUDY

Coordinator UNIPV

WP3 is developed through the application of innovative non-invasive technologies for heritage and for the mapping of "tangible" and "intangible" resources. Specifically, it involves designing integrated digital documentation and acquisition actions, to obtain a metrically and qualitatively reliable 3D database of a sample area of the historic center of Stigliano, from which to develop information models on the territory.

WP4_STRUCTURING A 3D GIS DATABASE

Coordinator UNIPR

The actions of WP4 build a 3D GIS cataloging system to support the monitoring of the urban components of the small historic city studied. In particular, the 3D semantic model of the sample area is developed to be imported into the GIS structure developed in WP2 and to be connected to the filing work developed in WP3. The 3D GIS database prototype will then be used for the development of risk maps and for the evaluation of intervention priorities on buildings and urban spaces. The actions of WP4 also include the training courses that the research units will provide to the municipality, to ensure the correct use of the 3D GIS database by the technicians of the Municipality of Stigliano, even at the end of the project.

WP5_STRUCTURING OF A VIRTUAL PLATFORM FOR THE FRUITION OF THE DIGITAL TWIN

Coordinator UNIPV

The activities of WP5 intend to make places virtually visible that are currently little known or not easily accessible. As part of the WP, technological innovation actions are promoted to allow space-user and user-user interaction. These activities are carried out in collaboration with external consultants who carry out scientific research in the sector. Furthermore, ad hoc information content will be created to promote knowledge and relationships with the historic center and its inhabitants.

WP6_VALIDATION AND EXPERIMENTATION OF DATA PROCESSES FOR THE 3D GIS & VIRTUAL PLATFORM

Coordinator UNIBAS

WP6 concerns interdisciplinary experimentation activities on the prototype for the validation of use protocols by different categories of users, in order to generate specific skills in the territory. The actions include moments of discussion between research units and PA, to verify the acquisition of the specific skills necessary to manage the shared products.

WP7_IMPACT ASSESSMENT AND PROTOCOL REPLICABILITY

Coordinatore UNIPR

The actions of the GO IN! project envisage the valorisation of the initiative to multiply the positive effects on the case study, both in terms of urban and landscape management, and in terms of increasing knowledge and virtual-physical accessibility of the small historic center and neighboring territories. The activities of WP7 are aimed at estimating the economic impacts of the project and providing a medium-long term monitoring plan. The spatial and formal criteria are investigated, as well as the economic and financial requirements that potentially allow the project to be replicated in other contexts, with the aim of planning a digitalized network of internal areas and neighboring rural systems on a regional/national scale.

WP7  >  M5-M23

WP8_COMMUNICATION AND DISSEMINATION OF THE PROJECT

Coordinator UNIPV

The activities of WP8 concern the definition of an internal committee within the units which deals with the communication and dissemination of actions and results to commercial partners, local stakeholders, the scientific community and public administrations. Activities include, among others, participation in national and international conferences, and publication in scientific journals and volumes.
